E books are here and NO MORE FINES!!
Do you have old fines that have stopped you or your family from visiting the library? Well, no more! The Library Board as of November has eliminated the fines on materials. If you have overdue materials, you may not use the computers or check out more materials, but you will not accrue fines. Digital materials automatically go inactive and are never "late".
E books have arrived at the West Liberty Public Library as of today! They are offered through the WILBOR consortium. If you already use our down loadable audio it is the same link. You will need to have the Adobe Digital Editions software downloaded to your computer in order to use the e books. The e books are compatible with most desktop computers, Nook, Sony readers, many I gadgets and various others. At this time the Kindle e reader is NOT compatible. You will need your library card number in order to log in and you must visit the library in order to get your patron number. Please understand we are not able to e mail or give the number over the phone due to confidentiality issues. This new service is only available to City of West Liberty, Muscatine County proper, and the City of Atalissa patrons. Demonstrations will be given on Sunday, December 5th, during the holiday open house. Stop in and see how the gadgets and the service works! If you can't make it on Sunday, stop in any time. Trained library staff can help you at any time!
